Even better local schools with smaller class sizes and every school being a community resource

Borders to be self sustainable for energy in 10 years - we should be generating our local renewable energy for our local needs

Ensure the completion of the Borders Rail Line

Better secondary school facilities in Peebles, Selkirk and Galashiels - with council considering funding mechanisms for new build

Better local sports facilities to widen community use - including development of Netherdale as an area of sporting excellence

More support for older and vulnerable people - restoring some of the cuts of the Conservative/ Independent administration

Further consideration of a light rail serving Penicuik and Leadburn
Redevelopment support for Penicuik town centre

Much more comprehensive alcohol policy for the Borders and Penicuik

Doubling of community police presence on our streets ensuring they are on the beat cutting crime

More support for local retailers struggling against the the big supermarkets
