Results on Textiles Schoool and College

The development of a state of the art higher and further education learning centre at Netherdale is as a result of the campaigning of local education leaders with Jeremy’s active support. The last year has seen the completion of the first phase of the scheme that has retained the School of Textiles in the Borders.

Both the textiles and the College provision are first class and Jeremy has supported them in woking with students and staff. He arranged a special evening in the Parliament for the textiles students’ work.

Jeremy has also been successful in ensuring that the new secondary schools to be built in the Borders will be fuelled by biomass renewable energy and he has supported local primary schools in their Eco Schools projects.
